A Personalized High School Experience for Home Educated Teens

At Innovant, we believe that God wired each of our kids uniquely and is preparing them to make significant contributions through meaningful work and service.

And we don’t believe every student should have the exact same high school experience while they’re preparing.

Instead, we believe that every teen can:

N

Understand how they are wired to learn best

N

Identify their own unique gifts, passions, and interests

N

Set their own educational goals and timelines

N

Master the skills and knowledge needed for cultural literacy and, in many cases, complete college preparation in the context of their gifts, passions, and interests

Does this sound familiar:

Many parents are at a loss when it comes to home education for their teens.

They often wonder:

  • Do I have the skills and knowledge to provide a solid high school education for my teen?
  • Will my son or daughter be prepared for college or work if I homeschool them?
  • Do we have to rely solely on impersonal online courses that offer few opportunities for engagement?

And many teenagers are detached and disengaged from their high school experience.

They often ask:

  • Is high school just a series of somewhat-meaningless “hoops” I have to jump through in order to obtain a high school diploma?
  • Why do I have to take classes that don’t align in any way with my interests or talents?
  • How is any of this preparing me for adulthood?
  • When can I learn something I’m interested in?

This leads to:

  • Anxiety for teens and parents
  • Frustration
  • Low self worth when they don’t stack up to their peers
  • Apathy towards what they are “supposed to be” learning
  • Fear of the future
  • and more…

Let’s change the way students learn

innovative learning – innovative path

How We Foster Real, Purposeful Learning:

Your teen attends Innovant two days a week (Monday and Thursday) in South Forsyth County, Georgia.

They’ll participate in discipleship and community-building activities, work on their individual learning objectives, individual and group projects, and Socratic discussions.

Students create two or four incredible projects each year.

These projects will meld a student’s interests and talents with their academic studies.

The student, parent(s), and coach will meet regularly to review progress on the student’s individualized learning plan.

We’ll all stay on the same page and determine where we or perhaps others in our community can best support the student’s learning.

In their final year, students will lead in the creation of their own Initiative – a business or program that brings together their gifting and their learning.

Student Initiatives may include for-profit businesses, ministry or service programs that will allow them to develop the skills they’ll need for college, work, or whatever God has for them after high school.

Who This is For

Students 13 yrs + or 8th grade through High School.

Families that are dedicated to launching their children to follow God’s path for them.

Students that are able to, or willing to learn to, work and learn in a more independent and self directed manner.

Students who WANT to be at Innovant!

Our 3-Part Promise to Parents

Home education is about more than books, papers, and grades. We are committed to helping you provide a highly-personalized high school homeschool education for your teen.

Our goal is to stand alongside you to prepare your teen for their future. We will help your family craft a specific learning plan for your son or daughter, and to help find the right resources and support as they take the initiative in their own education.

These years are incredibly valuable for your son or daughter. If you don’t believe that Innovant offers the best education for your teen, we don’t lock you into tuition for an entire year. Families commit to a minimum of six months to make sure this is a fit for their students.
